The Child and Family Counseling Program provides counseling and support services to children and families who are experiencing stress.
Common issues include:
trauma, loss, grief and abuse-related issues
needs of kinship families, including support to relatives, often grandparents, who are raising grandchildren
adopted children and youth who are working through identity and loss issues
attachment problems
adjustment of children in foster care and their foster families
issues related to divorce and blended families
parent-child communication and behavioral management issues

Strengthen family relationships
Improve communication within the family
Facilitate individual growth
Fees for Services:
VCAS accepts 3rd party payment including Medicaid and most private insurance plans.
