I was in prison and away from my daughter for two years. The days were long and we missed each other terribly. We would talk on the phone and my little girl would say "Just 5 more days until I see you Mommy," then "just 4 more days," and we would count down every day until we could see each other. The social workers from Children's Aid made the unbearable time apart bearable, and helped make our time together as normal as possible. They brought a birthday cake for her birthdays, which I would have had no way to do, and helped provide presents on Christmas. And more than that, they were friends who listened and cared. I don't think I would have gotten through it without them. And I know that it's their help that kept our mother-child bond strong so we can now become a family again.

He is very excited about being a Leader in Training and taking it all very seriously. This morning he spread all of his Camp T-shirts from each year out on the bed and talked about how much he's grown and changed from year to year. I have to thank you again for all of these years of support and caring. It means the world to him!
